A2P at SRF Meteo

On 24 November 2023, the traditional A2P event took us to SRF Meteo.

Simon Eschle and Gaudenz Flury showed us the difference between the content taught at universities and the practical world of work. For example, we learned that despite the complex physics behind the weather, simple rules of thumb sometimes make weather forecasting easier. We also gained very valuable insights behind the scenes when Simon and Gaudenz showed us all their weather models and we were able to see how the daily radio and television broadcasts are created. Last but not least, a visit to the Meteo roof with an obligatory photo for grandma was a must:) Thank you both very much for the very exciting tour at SRF Meteo, salted with passion and a pinch of humor, from which the 23 enthusiastic students were able to take a lot with them!
