The “National Contact Point of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics” (NCP IUPAP) represents Switzerland’s interests within the “International Union of Pure and Applied Physics” (IUPAP) and exchanges information between the IUPAP and Switzerland.
The Swiss Physical Society (SPG/SSP/SPS) has been entrusted by the Platform Mathematics, Astronomy and Physics (MAP) with the task of being the national contact point to the IUPAP.

It thus assumes the tasks of a national committee of the SCNAT.
