The platforms of SCNAT

The platforms deal with topics that are important to social and science policy. They also unite the specialist societies of the various scientific disciplines as well as the Cantonal and Regional societies under their umbrella.

The platform unites researchers from 18 scientific societies and 5 national committees in the field of biology. It promotes the transfer of knowledge and networking opportunities. Through the provision of expertise, the platform generates and maintains a dialogue to the benefit of society and politics

Together with national and international societies, the platform supports the exchange of expertise and promotes young academics in the various fields of chemistry.

The platform unifies societies and scientific bodies that are active in the field of geoscience. It acts as an interface between the various academic disciplines of geosciences as well as between research, practice, administration, politics and the public.

The platform incorporates societies and scientifique bodies dedicated to the areas of mathematics, astronomy and physics. It supports the organisations’ activities and coordinates and promotes research and education in the field of mathematics, astronomy and physics.

An important link between the sciences and the societies are the regionally tied scientific societies. The platform supports, promotes and coordinates the work of these regional societies.
