Neue Kurse zur Aus-und Weiterbildung von Artenkenntnissen
Das Bundesamt für Umwelt finanziert 2024 und 2025 den Aufbau von neuen Kursen, die Fachwissen über Moose, Flechten, Spinnen, Wildbienen und Laufkäfer vermitteln. Auch ein neuer Studiengang zum Erhalt der Artenvielfalt wird an der Universität Neuchâtel entwickelt.

Hierzulande leben viel mehr verschiedene Arten von Darwin-Wespen als lange angenommen, weil niemand sie bestimmen konnte. Ein Digitalisierungsprojekt und die Vermittlung von Fachwissen sollen Abhilfe schaffen.

New plant species are still being discovered in Switzerland, too. A recently described reed grass from the Swiss Alps has now been named "New Species of the Year 2024" by the Swiss Systematics Society.

The annual meeting will take place at SUPSI in Mendrisio. It includes the annual scientific meeting and the annual general assembly of all members of the society. It forms an integrating forum where the emphasis is put on interdisciplinary aspects and critical dialog from basic research to the clinics of parasitology, tropical medicine and global health.
