"FROZEN WORLDS"

This year’s keynotes will update you on the exploration and science of ​"Frozen Worlds" in ice-cores, permafrost, and other icy environments.

We will discover these different "Frozen Worlds" together with our confirmed keynote speakers:

  • Marcia Phillips (WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF)
  • Regula Gubler (Archaeological Service, Kanton Bern)
  • Gina Moseley (University of Innsbruck)
  • Giovanni Baccolo (Paul Scherrer Institut)
  • Robbie Shone (photographer)
  • Michael Sigl (University of Bern)
  • Martin Hölzle (University of Fribourg).

We also encourage contributions in the accompanying poster session where ongoing research can be presented and discussed. The best poster will be awarded with the CH-QUAT Poster Award and 200.- CHF. Please note that for the poster session contributions from all Quaternary science disciplines are welcome (independent of the keynote topics). Poster instructions: Maximum size: portrait size A0.
