Since 1961, the International Balzan Prize Foundation rewards every year outstanding scientists in the humanities and natural sciences as well as personalities from the field of arts and culture with a total amount of 3 Mio. Swiss Francs to fund research projects.

The “Balzan Prizewinners Interdisciplinary Forum” takes place the day before the Awards Ceremony at the Federal Council Hall. The Forum is divided into four presentations by this year’s Balzan Prizewinners.
