Swiss Geological Society
Established in 1882, the main goal of the Swiss Geological Society (SGS) is the advancement of the geological sciences in Switzerland. The following specialist groups are affiliated to SGS: Swiss Group of Geophysicists, SwissSed, Swiss Society of Mineralogy and Petrology and Swiss Tectonic Studies Group.
