The principal aim of the Schwyz Society of Natural Sciences (Schwyzerische Naturforschende Gesellschaft (SzNG)) is the diffusion of knowledge in natural sciences of and within the Canton of Schwyz. This is achieved by the organisation of conferences and excursions related to all fields of natural sciences and as well as with the support and the publication of research works.
The events organised by the SzNG cover a broad range of topics. Members of the SzNG are on the one hand from the natural sciences community, while others are interested in the surrounding nature in general. The SzNG occasionally publishes thematic booklets with scientific articles related to Schwyz nature, targeting also a general public.

Year founded: 1932
Number of members: 250 (2017)
Schwyzerische Naturforschende Gesellschaft (SzNG) is a member of SCNAT, Platform Science and Regions (Platform NWR)
