Environmental Informatics – Computational sustainability: ICT methods to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The EnviroInfo 2019 is the 33rd edition of the long standing and established international and interdisciplinary conference series on leading environmental information and communication technologies.
The conference will be organised in thematic tracks and workshops (incl. PhD workshop). We expect at least 4 keynotes by high-ranking speakers from industry, the public sector and academia. In 2019 the event is parallel to the annual convention of the German “Gesellschaft für Informatik” that is also taking place at University of Kassel.
The focus of the conference lies on six fields where ICT technologies play a crucial role to achieve the sustainability goals of the United Nations:
- Smart cities
- Sustainable transportation and energy systems
- Managing and mitigating climate change and extreme events
- Sustainable resource management and circular economy
- Health and food security
- Open and transdisciplinary science
