E-world energy & water is the meeting point for the European energy industry. Exhibitors from all over the world present sustainable technologies and intelligent services for the energy future. E-world 2020 combines the focus topics Smart City and Climate Solutions – to encourage sustainable transformation and promote intelligent infrastructures.

In times of advancing urbanization, cities are becoming pioneers in developing innovative ideas and measures to protect the climate. Being major contributors to climate change, cities are also especially affected by its consequences. Digitization and smart city concepts have the potential to make urban areas more efficient and sustainable. The key challenge will be the integration of electricity and heat, smart buildings and e-mobility into an intelligent and resource efficient system. As a driver of innovative and renewable technologies, the energy industry plays a key role in this process.

Exhibitors and visitors from more than 70 nations come together in Essen to exchange news and views on the latest market developments. The focus of the trade fair is on products and technologies in the areas of energy services, information technology and energy trade. In addition, the topic area “Smart Energy” is devoted to intelligent, efficient and renewable solutions. The topic area “Innovation” places its emphasis on the future of the energy industry: Start-ups und research institutes present their new and innovative products and solutions.
