On a European level, the Framework Programme Horizon 2020 fosters these concepts in the areas Research Infrastructure and Science with and for Society. In Switzerland, Research Integrity and Open Data are important issues for institutions such as the National Science Foundation and the Academies of Arts and Sciences.

In the first part of the event, Euresearch will inform on current policies and research opportunities of Open Data and Research Integrity within Horizon 2020. Plazi will then present its EU funded activities in the fields of Text/Data Mining and maintaining data repositories. It will also comment on corresponding copyright and data sharing policy issues.

In the second part of the event, participants are invited to discuss the subject in an expert panel and a plenary session.
