Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about SCCER BIOSWEET’s R&D activities. The event also provides a forum for a dialogue between bioenergy researchers and application partners, with the goal of fostering innovation in the field of bioenergy.

This year‘s event will focus on producing clean energy from wood and biofuels. Topics such as biomass based district heating, thermal energy storage, and particle emissions from wood combustion will be presented during the morning sessions. In the afternoon, perspectives of biofuels and Power-to-X will be discussed while paying attention to the role of biomass towards a COP21 compatible Switzerland.

Scope of the Conference

The scope is to foster the dialogue between bioenergy research and application and provide insight into SCCER BIOSWEET R&D activities, such as:

  • Biomass Based District Heating and Thermal Energy Storage
  • Particle Emissions from Wood Combustion
  • Biofuels and Perspectives of Power-to-X
  • Role of Bioenergy for COP21
