Foundation Science et Cité
The foundation Science et Cité (Science and City) is a neutral interface between the sciences and the public. Their objective is to encourage exchange between scientists and citizens and thus create a climate of mutual trust.
To do justice to this mission, Science et Cité has initiated diverse activities: dialogue platforms, interactive exhibits, projects welcoming personal contributions and thoughts. These activities appeal to various target groups:
• Children and youths, to inflame their interest in science
• Adults, for them to expand their knowledge and exchange views with experts
• Scientists, to address questions preying on people's minds
• Diverse key players in science communication who wish to expand their network
Science et Cité was established in 1998 and its head office is located in Berne's historic centre. Regional branches are located in the Suisse Romande and in the Ticinio.
Year founded: 1998
