Organisations in Switzerland - more information and getting active yourself

The following Swiss organisations offer a great deal of knowledge that is also easily accessible to laypeople, or offer activities in the field of astronomy for interested people of different ages.


Swiss Astronomical Society - umbrella organisation of Swiss amateur astronomers

There are various chapters throughout Switzerland, and these welcome interested people of all ages.


The Swiss Society for Astrophysics and Astronomy is the professional society for astronomy. Its aim is to promote science and research in the field of astrophysics and astronomy.


SAAO - Swiss Astrophysics and Astronomy Olympiad

This national competition is aimed at preparing future generations in the space field, offering a platform for all interested students regardless of knowledge, background or identity.
